Safety Protocols at Credence High School Dubai.
As the pandemic continues to rage on in many parts of the world, it is a privilege that UAE is edging slowly towards normalcy. Children have suffered a great deal during the past few months, having to stay locked indoors and adapt to distance learning, without an iota of the social interaction they receive at school. Yet, as schools begin to reopen gradually and education is shifting to the traditional classroom setting, parents are still worried about the safety of their children. This stems largely due to the fact that vaccination for children is still some time away and also because parents worry about safety protocols being followed and implemented in school. For this purpose, the KHDA has laid down certain guidelines which the best schools in Dubai are adhering to. Credence High School is a CBSE affiliated Indian high school in Dubai that is strictly, consistently and effectively implementing the most stringent safety measures to ensure that our students are safe.
Safety Protocols at Credence High School Dubai
Thermal Screening Stations
Therma screening booths have been set up at the entry gates and temperature checks are being conducted before any child or staff member enters the bus. Any student or staff with a body temperature over 37.5 degrees celsius, will be refrained from the school premises.
Social Distance For The Safety Of Children
To ensure that social distance can be maintained and there isn’t overcrowding or heavy traffic in any areas, we have spaced out entry and exit of students in a systematic manner. We have also temporarily suspended all group activities and large celebrations. Social distance will be maintained and implemented at all times by the staff.
Mandatory Face Masks
All students over 3 years of age and teachers have to mandatorily wear their masks, without exception.
Screening of Symptoms On School Campus
Our staff has been trained to watch out for early symptoms of COVID-19 like cold, cough, runny nose, nausea, headache and fatigue. If any student is suffering from one or more of the above, they are immediately referred to the school nurse for further evaluation. Restricted Drop Off/Pick Up As a policy, Credence High School has restricted the number of people coming to pick up and drop off a child to 1 only. We are also strongly discouraging family members over 60 years of age from entering the premises. We have allocated certain specific areas where family members can pick up their wards and they cannot have access to any other school members. In case any parent wishes to speak to a member of the staff of the principal, we encourage them to make an appointment for an online meeting. We also request parents to try and finish the pick-up/drop off within a maximum of 10minutes. All the while, maintaining a social distance of over 2 meters and wearing masks.
Disinfection & Sterilization Of School Campus
Regular and meticulous disinfection and sterilisation of classrooms and school premises is conducted.
Emergency Protocol & Isolation Rooms
Our school nurses and doctors are equipped to deal with any medical emergencies that might arise, with the appropriate PPE. If a child shows symptoms or feels unwell, isolation rooms have been set up for the child’s comfort and safety until the parent can come and pick him/her up.
Apart from the above, at Credence High School, we understand how difficult this transition may be for some students. After months of being unable to interact with their peers, there may be some hesitation or some fear among children. Our teachers will stay alert and make sure that we gently guide the children during this understandably tough time.
As parents, it is natural to worry about our children’s safety. The one guaranteed weapon we have against the coronavirus is a strong immune system. We should make sure our children are eating healthy foods and getting plenty of physical activity outdoors.
If we work together, we don’t need to suspend our lives any more. Together, we can make sure that our children continue to laugh, play and learn.
